Todies are small green birds found in the Caribbean and more specifically, in the Greater Antilles region. Jamaican is host to one specie of these unique bird, the Jamaican tody which is listed officially as Todus todus. These are non-migratory birds and are endemic to each respective island they are native to. The Jamaican tody known as robin redbreast because of the brilliant red on its chest, prefer forested areas where they spend their time foraging for flying insects and preparing nests in barrows they make into banks.
